Job Description

We are seeking a reliable, energetic, and compassionate Lead Infant Teacher to guide our toddler classroom, serving children 6 weeks - 1 year old . This leadership role is essential in supporting infants through important developmental milestones, fostering independence, and creating a nurturing space that encourages exploration and discovery. What You'll Do Lead the planning and implementation of daily curriculum activities based on The Creative Curriculum , aligned with the Maine Early Childhood Learning Guidelines Create a warm, structured, and engaging environment that supports social, emotional, and cognitive growth Model best practices in positive guidance, language development, and child-led play Build strong relationships with families through ongoing communication and professionalism Mentor supporting staff to ensure consistent, high-quality care and teaching Maintain a consistent schedule within our operating hours: Monday-Friday, 7:15am-5:30pm What We're Looking For Minimum of 2 years childcare experience (preferred) Leadership experience or readiness to step confidently into a lead role A passion for infant development and supporting emerging skills Ability to maintain a calm, patient, responsive environment Willing and able to complete a federal background check Preferred Education CDA or ECE Degree preferred Level 5 MRTQ We proudly support continued education and professional growth
Pay:
$16.00 - $20.00 per hour
