Utilize effective behavior management and classroom management techniques to promote a respectful and organized learning space. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about children's progress, milestones, and any concerns related to child welfare or development. Collaborate with colleagues to develop individualized plans for children requiring special education or early intervention services. Maintain compliance with mandated reporting laws and ensure adherence to health and safety standards, including first aid and CPR certification. Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, Montessori methods, preschool teaching strategies, and standardized testing where applicable. Qualifications Proven experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, or early childhood education setting, with a focus on infants and toddlers. Strong knowledge of child development principles, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies. Experience developing curriculum that promotes literacy education, physical activity (including experience teaching physical education), and overall childhood welfare. Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention programs, and HighScope curriculum is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners. Certification in first aid and CPR; knowledge of mandated reporting laws is required. Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate math concepts, childhood development milestones, and standardized testing when appropriate.
