PRIOR LEAD TEACHER EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.
As a key leader in early childhood education, you will develop and implement developmentally appropriate curricula that promote childhood development, literacy, math skills, and social-emotional growth. Your role is vital in creating a positive learning atmosphere where children feel safe, valued, and motivated to explore their world. You will collaborate with families, support challenging behaviors, and uphold the highest standards of childcare and classroom management. Responsibilities Design and execute comprehensive lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, using the high scope curriculum. Foster a stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and active learning among preschool children. Implement curriculum development strategies that support literacy education, math skills, physical education, and social-emotional learning. Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive behavior management techniques to ensure a safe and respectful space for all children. Maintain detailed documentation of child progress through assessments, standardized testing results, and individualized plans. Collaborate closely with families to communicate developmental milestones, address concerns, and support child welfare initiatives. Experience Proven classroom management experience within preschool or early childhood education settings. Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development across various domains such as literacy, math, physical education, and childcare best practices. Familiarity with High Scope teaching methods or other specialized educational approaches preferred. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, staff, and community partners. Minimum Pre-School CDA or Associate degree required. Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management strategies essential for fostering a positive learning environment. Must be fluent in English (reading & writing).
Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
