Monday•Friday | Hours between 7:30 AM•5:30 PM Join a Mission-Driven Early Childhood Program New Genesis Learning Center is seeking a caring, dependable, and energetic Early Childhood Assistant Teacher to join our growing team. Our center is dedicated to providing high-quality early childhood education rooted in our core values of Education, Integrity, Faith, Family, and Excellence . As an Assistant Teacher, you will support the Lead Teacher in creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing classroom environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive. Key Responsibilities Assist the Lead Teacher with daily lesson plans and classroom activities Support children's social, emotional, and educational development Create a positive and nurturing learning environment Prepare classroom learning centers, materials, and supplies Supervise children during classroom, outdoor, and play activities Ensure children are treated with respect, patience, and dignity Assist with classroom organization and general housekeeping tasks Maintain a safe environment that meets Michigan childcare licensing standards Attend staff meetings and required training sessions Demonstrate professionalism and uphold the mission and values of New Genesis Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older Experience working with preschool or early childhood programs preferred Passion for working with young children Patient, nurturing, and creative personality Strong communication and teamwork skills Reliable with a strong work ethic Ability to create positive relationships with children, staff, and families Employment Requirements Criminal background check clearance Child Abuse and Neglect clearance Negative TB test Current physical examination Willingness to complete 24 hours of annual professional training as required by Michigan childcare licensing Why Work at New Genesis?
