Job Description

Westwood Christian Co-op Preschool is seeking a passionate, nurturing teacher to job share in our Young 5s class for the 2026-2027 school year. This position will also serve as the Lead Teacher for the Tuesday/Thursday sessions, with the opportunity to transition into the solo Young 5s teacher for the 2027-2028 school year. We are a Christ-centered preschool committed to partnering with families and providing a warm, developmentally appropriate learning environment rooted in Christian values.
Responsibilities:
Job share as teacher for the Young 5s class (2026-2027) Serve as Lead Teacher for the Tuesday/Thursday sessions Collaborate with staff and co-op families Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum with job share teacher, communicating often to provide continuity for the class Foster a nurturing, Christ-centered classroom environment Communicate effectively with parents and staff
Qualifications:
Meet Michigan Child Care Licensing requirements Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education Experience teaching preschool or Young 5s preferred Ability to integrate Biblical principles into daily instruction Strong classroom management and organizational skills Ability to work collaboratively in a co-op preschool setting If you feel called to early childhood education and desire to serve in a Christian preschool community, we would love to hear from you.
