Job Description
We are seeking a nurturing and engaging Child Care Assistant Teacher to work with children from birth til kindergarten age. The ideal candidate will prioritize positive interactions, fostering social, emotional, and cognitive growth. While formal education and experience are not required, a background in childcare is preferred. Open availability is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Provide a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for children to explore and learn
- Develop and implement engaging activities promoting social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Encourage positive relationships with children, colleagues, and families
- Foster a culture of respect, empathy, and kindness
- Observe and respond to children's individual needs and interests
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment
- Communicate effectively with parents and staff regarding daily activities and child progress
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in childcare or a related field
- Open availability, including flexibility to work varied shifts
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and engage in active play
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain) Benefits
