Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Daycare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a commitment to fostering a safe and nurturing environment. This role involves supporting lead teachers in daily classroom activities, ensuring the well-being of children, and promoting educational development through engaging activities. Responsibilities Assist in the daily supervision of children in the daycare setting. Help create and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning and development. Support children's social, emotional, and physical needs throughout the day. Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff regarding daily activities and any concerns. Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including first aid protocols. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities. Requirements Experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, or similar environment is preferred. Knowledge of special education practices is a plus. Familiarity with classroom management techniques to maintain a positive learning atmosphere. Skills in educating young children through play-based learning methods. Experience in infant care, babysitting, or nannying is advantageous. First aid certification is desirable but can be obtained upon hiring. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team setting. A genuine love for children and a commitment to their development and well-being.
