Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that align with early childhood education standards and promote holistic development. Lead classroom activities focused on toddler care, including play-based learning, literacy education, physical activity, and social interaction. Manage classroom behavior through positive behavior management techniques to create a safe and respectful environment. Oversee daily classroom operations, including lesson planning, child development instruction, and maintaining an organized learning space. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, milestones, and any concerns related to child welfare or development. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate records of children's developmental assessments and incident reports. Supervise assistant teachers and support staff, providing mentorship and guidance to uphold high standards of childcare and education. Requirements Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings, particularly with toddlers. Strong background in curriculum development, classroom management, and behavior management strategies. Knowledge of childhood development principles, special education needs, early intervention techniques, and literacy education. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing professional development in early childhood education is preferred. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, staff, and community partners. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws, standardized testing procedures for young children, and child welfare practices. Demonstrated ability to lead a team of educators while maintaining a nurturing environment that supports physical activity, math skills, and overall growth.
