Early Childhood Center Aide Archdiocese of Detroit - 3.4 Royal Oak, MI Job Details Part-time 5 hours ago Qualifications Teacher collaboration Working with students Full Job Description Shrine Catholic Grade School Early Childhood Center Aide Shrine Catholic Grade School is located in Royal Oak, MI at the corner of 12 Mile Rd and Woodward Avenue. Shrine Catholic Schools have been providing the highest quality Catholic education to the surrounding communities since 1938. Our mission is to "challenge our students to achieve excellence in academics, athletics, the arts, service to others, and leadership, all while giving glory to God the Father and exemplify the mission of Jesus Christ through the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Shrine Catholic Grade School is seeking part-time aides for our Early Childhood Center. Job Description Work alongside the teacher to assist with a variety of tasks contributing to safe and effective classroom operation in preschool and/or infant/toddler classrooms. These tasks may include helping prepare activities, assisting in classroom content areas, supervising and helping children with snack, lunch, and rest time, sanitizing tables and manipulatives, and assisting with toileting/diapering as needed. Follow all licensing guidelines and adhere to all school policies and procedures to ensure exceptional daily care and educational experiences for each child. Be patient, enjoy working with young children, and be excited to share our Catholic faith. Qualifications Able to work in a collaborative atmosphere with teachers, parents, and children. Possess willingness to learn and demonstrate interest in early childhood development; completion of professional development on child care and child development is required each year. Must successfully complete State of Michigan required Criminal Background Check and fingerprinting. Must have completed or be willing to complete Protecting God's Children training. CPR/First Aid training is a plus, but must be willing to become certified within 90 days of hire.
