$16•18 per hour (based on experience and credentials)
Schedule:
Full-Time, Monday-Friday Infant Teacher•Early Learning Classroom The Learning Experience•South Lyon Township is seeking a caring and dependable Infant Teacher to support children during their earliest stages of development. This role focuses on creating a nurturing classroom environment where infants feel safe, supported, and engaged through responsive caregiving, sensory exploration, and consistent daily routines. This position is ideal for educators who enjoy building strong relationships with children and families while supporting important developmental milestones. Key Responsibilities Support daily classroom routines for infants ages 6 weeks to 12 months Provide attentive care including feeding, diapering, and nap supervision Implement age-appropriate sensory learning activities and classroom engagement Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment Observe and support developmental milestones and early communication skills Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members Communicate regularly with families regarding routines and daily progress Follow Michigan childcare licensing requirements and center policies Qualifications Previous infant or childcare classroom experience required CDA preferred but not required Strong understanding of infant development and responsive caregiving practices Reliable, nurturing, and team-oriented approach Excellent communication and organizational skills Must meet Michigan childcare licensing requirements What We Offer Competitive hourly pay of $16•18 based on experience and credentials Consistent weekday schedule Supportive leadership and collaborative teaching environment Professional development and advancement opportunities Employee childcare discount Apply today to join The Learning Experience•South Lyon Township and help create a warm, engaging classroom where infants build strong foundations for lifelong learning and development.
