Toddler Teacher (Full-Time) Dorothy's Discovery Daycare Center is a community-focused early childhood program dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for young children. We emphasize developmentally appropriate practices that support the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth of infants and toddlers. Key Responsibilities Provide responsive, nurturing care for toddlers (16-36 months) Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities, including sensory play, music, movement, language, and social-emotional learning experiences Support children's growth through positive guidance and meaningful interactions Follow all health, safety, and licensing requirements Assist with daily routines, including meals, toileting/diapering, rest time, and transitions Observe and document children's developmental progress Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment Build strong relationships with families and provide daily communication and updates Lead and support assistant teachers in the classroom Qualifications 1-2 years of experience working in a toddler classroom or licensed childcare center CDA, Associate's Degree, or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred) Knowledge of toddler development and developmentally appropriate practices CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain) Reliable, professional, and team-oriented Strong communication skills with children, families, and colleagues, including culturally responsive interactions Compensation & Benefits $15-$18 per hour (based on education and experience) 401(k) retirement plan Paid time off Sick time Professional development opportunities Supportive and positive work environment
