Responsibilities Assist in planning and executing daily activities that promote learning, creativity, and physical activity. Supervise children during outdoor play, arts and crafts, sports, and group games to ensure safety and engagement. Field trips during the summer time. Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and implementing behavior management strategies. Provide basic first aid when necessary, following safety protocols to address minor injuries or health concerns. Foster inclusive environments by working with children of diverse backgrounds and special needs, including those requiring additional support in early childhood education or special education settings. Collaborate with lead counselors to monitor children's progress, address behavioral challenges, and promote social-emotional development. Uphold safety standards by maintaining a clean, organized camp environment and adhering to all childcare regulations and policies. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, tutoring, babysitting, or camp is preferred. Knowledge of classroom management techniques and childhood development principles. Certification or training in first aid and CPR is highly desirable. Strong communication skills with the ability to connect positively with children, parents, and team members. Ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a dynamic outdoor or indoor environment with enthusiasm. Experience with working with older school age student. kindergarten. To 6th grade student.
