Job Summary The Preschool Teacher at Simon Says Early Childhood Center is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment that supports the developmental needs of young children. The teacher implements age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth while fostering a love of learning.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate lessons and activities aligned with early childhood education standards
Create a structured, positive, and inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners
Promote social-emotional development through guided play, routines, and positive behavior support
Observe and assess student development, maintaining accurate records of progress
Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student growth and daily activities
Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all students at all times
Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment
Collaborate with staff and administration to support program goals and student success
Support daily routines, including meals, rest time, and transitions
Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (or working toward degree)
Prior experience working with preschool-aged children preferred
Knowledge of early childhood development and best practices in early learning
Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills
Ability to create a warm, patient, and supportive learning environment
