Job Description

Job Summary Pay scale- based on credentials We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Lead Toddler Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment tailored specifically for toddlers. Your leadership will ensure that each child's developmental needs are met through innovative curriculum development, personalized lesson planning, and effective classroom management. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for early childhood education, strong communication skills, and a commitment to child welfare and development. Responsibilities Develop and implement dynamic, age-appropriate curricula that promote early literacy, math skills, physical education, and social-emotional growth in toddlers. Lead classroom activities that encourage exploration, creativity, and independence while maintaining a safe and supportive environment. Manage daily classroom routines, including diapering, feeding, nap times, and outdoor play, ensuring adherence to health and safety standards. Observe and assess each child's progress in areas such as language development, motor skills, behavior management, and social interactions; document findings for parent updates and program planning. Collaborate with parents and guardians through regular communication about their child's development, milestones, and any special needs or interventions required. Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff to maintain high-quality classroom experiences aligned with best practices in early childhood education. Incorporate specialized techniques such as Montessori methods or inclusive strategies for children with special education needs or early intervention requirements. Requirements Proven experience working with children in a classroom setting, preferably with toddlers or preschool-aged students. Strong background in childhood development principles, curriculum development, classroom management, and behavior management strategies. Knowledge of early intervention techniques, special education accommodations, literacy education methods, and standardized testing where applicable. Certification or qualification in early childhood education or related fields; Montessori certification is a plus. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners. Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate physical activity, arts & crafts, literacy activities, and math concepts suitable for toddlers.
