Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Child Care Assistant to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will play a vital part in nurturing, supervising, and engaging young children in a safe and stimulating environment. Your energy and enthusiasm will help foster a positive learning atmosphere where children can thrive, develop essential skills, and feel valued. The ideal candidate is compassionate, proactive, and committed to supporting children's growth through attentive caregiving and educational activities. Responsibilities Provide attentive supervision and care for children across various age groups, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Assist in implementing age-appropriate educational activities that promote childhood development, social skills, and creativity. Maintain a safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary. Support classroom management by organizing materials, managing routines, and encouraging positive behavior through effective behavior management techniques. Collaborate with lead teachers and parents to monitor each child's progress and address individual needs, especially for children with disabilities or special education requirements. Engage children in play-based learning, fostering curiosity and social interaction while promoting early childhood education principles. Ensure cleanliness and organization of the childcare area to uphold hygiene standards suitable for infants and young children. Experience Prior experience working with children in daycare settings, preschools, or as a nanny or babysitter is highly preferred. Knowledge of childhood development stages and best practices in early childhood education. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a strong advantage. Classroom experience involving toddler care or infant care provides valuable insight into developmental milestones. Certification in first aid and CPR is desirable; ongoing training in behavior management or special education is beneficial. Pay:
$14.50 - $15.00 per hour
