This vital role ensures the safety, comfort, and developmental support of children during overnight hours. You will create a nurturing environment, monitor children's well-being, and provide attentive care to infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Your energetic and compassionate approach will help foster a secure and positive atmosphere for children while supporting their growth through early childhood education principles. Duties Supervise children throughout the overnight shift, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Monitor children's sleep patterns, comfort them as needed, and respond promptly to any emergencies or needs Implement age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development and sensory engagement during waking moments Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment in compliance with daycare standards and safety regulations Document children's behaviors, sleep schedules, and any incidents accurately for parent communication and record keeping Administer basic first aid when necessary, following established protocols to address minor injuries or health concerns Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent caregiving practices and effective classroom management Skills Proven experience in childcare, including classroom experience with infants, toddlers, or preschool-aged children Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices in daycare settings Ability to manage behavior effectively with patience, positive reinforcement, and clear boundaries Certification in first aid and CPR to ensure preparedness for emergencies Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is a plus Strong communication skills for collaborating with parents, team members, and emergency responders Familiarity with classroom management techniques and caregiving routines such as napping schedules and diapering This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference during the overnight hours by providing safe, nurturing care that supports children's growth and well-being.
