As a Preschool Teacher at this Christian Academy, you will have a significant role in nurturing a range of young minds from diverse backgrounds and creating a fun and upbeat learning atmosphere that promotes development and growth. Comprehensive training will be given to support you in this fulfilling role. Preschool Teachers are responsible for maintaining a clean, friendly, and welcoming environment, implementing the curriculum and continuously encouraging learning, ensuring the safety and health of the children, and maintaining effective communication with parents. Preschool Teacher Responsibilities Provide a warm nurturing emotional environment by balancing a child's need for security and acceptance, with a child's need to experience safe opportunities to explore through "hands-on" experience. Interact and Communicate with children in an age-appropriate and developmentally appropriate manner. Possess the ability to adapt teaching in response to children's differences through providing individualized activities and care for each child in constant care. Coordinate meal and snack experiences to ensure quality nutritional and social development. Use developmentally appropriate practices when assisting with activities based on selected program curriculum and lesson plans. Maintain up-to-date attendance and other records and forms on the children. To notify supervisor when informed of changes. Possess skills, attributes, and characteristics conducive to, and suitable for dealing with children. Prepare, complete, and maintain administrative forms and records as current governmental regulations, company policies, and procedures require. Attend staff/parent events and complete training classes as required by state regulations. Maintain relationships with families that are professional and do not present to be a conflict of interest.
Qualifications :
High School Diploma / equivalent 5+ years of experience working with children in a childcare setting. Must pass a criminal background check and FBI check. Physical stamina and the ability to participate in outdoor activities and engage in physical play with children. The academy is open from 7:00 a.m.- 5:30 p.m.
