In this role, you will lead engaging activities, foster positive behavior, and support children's growth through creative play, sports, arts, and educational experiences. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact while developing your skills in childcare, teaching, and youth development. Duties Supervise children during camp activities, ensuring safety and active participation at all times Lead a variety of engaging programs including sports, arts and crafts, theater, and outdoor games Manage classroom or activity spaces with effective behavior management techniques to promote positive interactions Assist with planning and executing age-appropriate curriculum that supports childhood development and early childhood education principles Provide first aid when necessary and maintain a safe environment in accordance with health guidelines Support children with special needs or those requiring additional assistance through compassionate care and tailored activities Foster a welcoming atmosphere aligned with Christian counseling values or camp's spiritual focus when applicable Requirements Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, babysitting, tutoring, or camp programs is preferred Knowledge of classroom management strategies and behavior management techniques Valid certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain prior to start) Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and engage children positively Ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment with energy and patience Background in early childhood education, childhood development, or special education is a plus Enthusiasm for sports coaching, theater arts, or other extracurricular activities that enhance camp programming This paid summer position is perfect for energetic individuals passionate about working with children.
