Overview:

Redeemer Nixa Preschool in Nixa, MO is seeking a part-time Preschool Aide. In a Christ-centered learning environment. Our preschool strives to nurture God's children as they grow and prepare for school. We aim to create a love for Jesus, a love for learning and a love for each other. Redeemer is committed to providing a safe place for preschoolers to grow socially, emotionally, academically and spiritually. Responsibilities Supervises the classroom when the teacher is out of the room. Oversees unstructured free play. Works with teachers to ensure organization of free play corresponds to scheduled structured activities. Shares the love of Jesus Through interaction and example, supports and promotes educational and social-emotional growth and recognizes strengths of the child. Assists in ensuring nutrition and self-care practices are incorporated into the classroom routines for children to develop healthy habits. (meals/snacks, bathroom break, proper handwashing) Builds positive relationships with families that encourage engagement in their child's learning. Performs other duties necessary to the smooth functioning of the facility as assigned by the Lead Teacher or the Director. (prepares classroom materials) Maintains confidentiality in all matters relating to children, families, and staff. Participating in family events and representing our preschool Qualifications At least 18 years old ( required ) A High School diploma or equivalency. Possess skill and competencies to assist teachers with planning and facilitating daily learning activities for three-year-olds and four-year-olds. Demonstrate desire and ability to share the tenets of the Christian faith with preschool students and families. Our congregation is a member congregation of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod (LCMS). Applicants for the position are not required to be a member of an LCMS congregation, but should have knowledge and willingness to teach according to our doctrinal beliefs. Exhibit love, patience, and respect for children, parents, and staff Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, in some circumstances A background check and interview will be conducted on all applicants. Starting:

August 2026.

Hours:

Monday through Friday from 8 AM - 12:30 AM. Total work hours may vary by week, but should average 25 hours per week. Currently, our preschool follows the Nixa public school calendar pretty closely, so days off will include those dates.

Compensation & Benefits:

Starting pay is $15.75 per hour. Benefits include pension and disability coverage through Concordia Plans.
