Job Description
Part-Time Preschool Assistant (2026-2027 School Year) St. Stephen Christian Preschool is seeking caring, dependable, and energetic Part-Time Preschool Assistants to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year ! If you have a heart for children, enjoy working in a Christian environment, and want to make a difference in the lives of young learners, we would love to meet you. Schedule Monday-Friday 2:30 PM - 5:30 PM Additional hours may be available based on enrollment and staffing needs, with opportunities for professional growth within our program. Responsibilities Provide active, attentive supervision to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of preschool children. Assist teachers with classroom activities, crafts, and age-appropriate learning experiences. Foster a warm, nurturing, and Christ-centered environment where children feel safe and valued. Support children with transitions, bathroom routines, snack, and end-of-day activities. Maintain a clean, organized classroom by assisting with daily closing responsibilities, including sanitizing toys, cleaning surfaces, sweeping, and preparing the classroom for the next day. Communicate professionally and respectfully with staff, children, and families. Follow all preschool policies and procedures related to child safety and supervision. Qualifications Must be 16 years of age or older . Enjoy working with young children in a positive, team-oriented environment. Dependable, responsible, and punctual. Able to lift up to 40 pounds and actively engage with children throughout the day. Must successfully complete required background screenings and training as applicable. Why Join Our Team?
