Job Description
Job Summary Teachers are responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment for children typically ages 2-5 years old. The teacher supports early childhood development by planning age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth. Key Responsibilities Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities Foster a warm, caring, and inclusive classroom environment Support toddlers in developing language, motor, and social skills Supervise children at all times to ensure safety Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, potty training, and nap time Observe and document children's progress and developmental milestones Communicate regularly with parents about their child's development and daily activities Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom Follow all licensing regulations and health & safety guidelines Encourage positive behavior and model appropriate social interactions Required Skills & Qualifications A high school diploma Knowledge of child development principles Patience, compassion, and strong communication skills Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and engage in active play CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Key Competencies Creativity and enthusiasm Strong classroom management skills Ability to multitask Team collaboration Problem-solving skills
