Job Description
Job Summary We are looking for a caring, energetic, and dependable Afterschool Teacher to join our team! This role involves supervising and engaging school-age children in a safe, fun, and structured environment. The ideal candidate loves working with kids, is creative, and can manage a classroom while making learning enjoyable. Responsibilities Supervise and ensure the safety of all children at all times Assist students with homework and provide academic support Plan and lead fun, age-appropriate activities (arts & crafts, games, outdoor play) Maintain a clean, organized, and positive classroom environment Communicate effectively with parents and staff about children's progress and behavior Manage classroom behavior using positive guidance techniques Prepare and distribute snacks (if applicable) Ensure children are signed in and out properly Follow all licensing and safety regulations Requirements Must be at least 18 years old High school diploma or GED required Valid driver's license Ability to pass a background check Previous childcare or teaching experience preferred Strong communication and teamwork skills Patient, nurturing, and reliable personality Ability to stay active and keep up with children throughout the day Physical Requirements Must be able to stand for long periods Ability to lift to 30 lbs Able to participate in indoor and outdoor activities
