Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to update them on their child's progress, activities, and any concerns. Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, dressing, nap times, and potty training for young children. Support children with disabilities by adapting activities and providing inclusive care tailored to individual needs. Maintain a clean, organized environment that encourages learning and play while following all mandated reporting laws when necessary. Requirements Proven experience working with children in settings such as daycare centers, preschools, babysitting, nannying, or youth programs. Knowledge of childhood development stages and behavior management techniques. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training is preferred. Experience caring for infants through elementary school-age children with an understanding of toddler care and preschooler needs. Ability to plan age-appropriate activities that foster learning and social interaction. Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with parents or guardians about their child's progress and needs. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare. Demonstrated patience, compassion, reliability, and enthusiasm for caregiving roles.
