Company Overview St. Thomas Child and Family Center is a dedicated full-time child care center and preschool serving children from 6 weeks to 6 years old. We nurture over 90 children daily, providing a safe, engaging, and educational environment that fosters early childhood development. Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Toddler Teacher to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will create a nurturing classroom environment that promotes growth, exploration, and learning for our youngest learners. Your enthusiasm and expertise will inspire children to develop essential skills while ensuring their safety and well-being. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact during the critical early years of childhood. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum tailored to toddler development stages, incorporating literacy education, physical activity, and social-emotional learning Foster a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages curiosity and independence among toddlers Manage daily classroom routines, including meal times, naps, play activities, and transitions with patience and consistency Engage children in meaningful activities that promote language development, motor skills, and early math concepts using best practices in early childhood education Maintain open communication with parents or guardians about each child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones Follow mandated reporting laws to ensure child safety and welfare at all times Collaborate with colleagues to plan lessons, share insights on child development instruction, and enhance classroom management strategies Requirements CDA or degree related to the field preferred Experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques for toddlers Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management tools Understanding of early intervention strategies and special education needs for young learners Experience teaching physical education or incorporating movement into daily activities is a plus Ability to adhere to health and safety regulations while creating an engaging learning environment Join us at St. Thomas Child and Family Center where your dedication can shape the future by nurturing the earliest stages of childhood growth!
