Substitute Preschool Teacher

Origins Education is hiring substitute teachers for the summer and 2026/2027 school year! Have complete control over your schedule, work as little or as much as you like! (those available for more shifts will get more hours) If you love to play and engage with children by exploring the natural world through caring for the earth, singing & dancing, gardening, and supporting sustainable systems and healthy lifestyles, this is the job for you! Successful candidates should have:

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Strong teaching experience in a preschool or licensed childcare setting, including lesson planning and implementing curriculum
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Leadership skills and self-accountability
• Experience working as a team

• Qualities:

  nurturing, grounded, mindful, emotionally intelligent, adaptable/flexible, teachable, open-minded, compassionate, empathetic, dynamic, reliable, responsible, and professional.

• Preferred:

• Infant/Child/Adult CPR & First Aid
• Current on the Early Childhood Project, Practitioner Registry
• 2+ years experience as a preschool teacher in a licensed childcare facility Competitive pay—starting wage of $18-20

Hours:

Part-time/full time on call If hired you may have the opportunity to move into a permanent shift if desired.
