In this role, you will create engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons that foster curiosity, social-emotional growth, and foundational skills. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans tailored to early childhood development standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and social skills. Create a stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and active learning through hands-on activities and play-based instruction. Manage classroom behavior effectively by employing positive behavior management strategies that promote respect, cooperation, and independence among children. Support children with special educational needs through early intervention techniques and individualized lesson adjustments. Conduct assessments of children's progress using standardized testing methods and document developmental milestones to inform instructional strategies. Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate children's progress, address concerns, and provide guidance on child welfare and development. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that complies with health and safety regulations for daycare and preschool settings. Requirements Requirements Must be able to speak Spanish fluently (spoken and written preferred). Proven experience working with young children in classroom settings, including preschool or daycare environments. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and classroom management techniques. Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention strategies, and literacy education methods. Experience with Montessori or other specialized educational approaches is preferred. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners. Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate math, physical education, and other core subjects aligned with early childhood education standards. Certification or licensure in Early Childhood Education or a related field is highly desirable; ongoing professional development is encouraged.
Pay:
$18.50 - $21.00 per hour
