Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and energetic Pre-School/Pre-Kindergarten Lead Teacher to inspire young learners during their foundational years. Your leadership will guide children through age-appropriate curriculum activities, fostering curiosity, independence, and a love for learning. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the educational journey of preschoolers while collaborating with families and supporting their child's growth. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive, developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards and curriculum development best practices. Create a warm, safe, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and social interaction among young children. Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management techniques and classroom management strategies to promote a respectful learning atmosphere. Conduct ongoing assessments of child development progress using standardized testing methods and provide tailored support to meet individual needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention services. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns, fostering strong partnerships to support child welfare. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare while maintaining accurate documentation of incidents or concerns. Support children's physical development by incorporating age-appropriate activities such as physical education exercises and motor skill development. Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that adheres to health and safety regulations including first aid and CPR certification requirements. Skills Extensive experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings, demonstrating strong classroom experience in early childhood education. Proficiency in curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing literacy education strategies tailored for young learners. Knowledge of childhood development principles, including toddler care, behavior management techniques, and classroom management best practices. Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and administrators; excellent interpersonal skills are essential. Familiarity with special education needs, early intervention programs, and the use of standardized testing tools for assessment purposes. Experience teaching physical education activities and supporting overall child welfare through health-conscious practices like first aid and CPR certification. Strong organizational skills to manage daily classroom routines while ensuring compliance with mandated reporting laws and childcare regulations. $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
