Job Description

The School-Age Teacher is responsible for providing a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for children ages 5-12. This role includes planning and implementing activities that support academic enrichment, social development, and recreational enjoyment in a before- and/or after-school setting. Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of all children in care Plan and implement age-appropriate activities, including homework support, arts and crafts, games, and physical activities Create a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment Assist children with homework and encourage good study habits Maintain daily schedules and routines Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding children's progress and behavior Enforce program rules and behavior expectations consistently Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom and materials Follow all licensing regulations and center policies Respond appropriately to emergencies and incidents Certification in early childhood education or related fields is preferred Credentials I & II Certifcation Experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting, ideally with preschool experience or private school background. Classroom management strategies. Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, literacy education and math instruction Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, community resources, staff, and Office Adminstration. Demonstrated ability to manage a classroom effectively while fostering a nurturing environment for all young learners. Pay:
$13.00 - $17.00 per hour
