In this role, you will create a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment that promotes social, emotional, and cognitive development. Your enthusiasm for early childhood education will help lay a strong foundation for children's future learning success. You will be responsible for designing age-appropriate lesson plans, managing classroom activities, and fostering a positive atmosphere where every child feels valued and supported. Responsibilities Develop and implement dynamic curriculum plans tailored to the developmental needs of Pre-K 3, 4 and 5-year-olds, incorporating literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods when applicable. Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and social interaction among young children. Manage daily classroom routines, including circle time, play-based learning activities, snack times, and rest periods with effective behavior management strategies. Assess each child's progress through observations and standardized testing when appropriate; communicate findings with parents and caregivers to support ongoing development. Incorporate early intervention techniques and special education strategies to support children with diverse learning needs or developmental delays. Collaborate with colleagues to plan interdisciplinary lessons that promote holistic childhood development and foster a love of learning. Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress reports, and behavioral notes while ensuring compliance with childcare regulations and standards. Qualifications Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings; prior classroom management experience is highly valued. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, early intervention practices, and literacy education techniques. Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and teaching physical education or Montessori methods is preferred. Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and administrators. Ability to implement behavior management strategies that promote positive social interactions and emotional well-being. Certification in early childhood education or related fields; additional training in special education or toddler care is a plus. Demonstrated commitment to child welfare, safety standards, and fostering an inclusive learning environment.
