Substitute Preschool Teacher / Childcare Worker (As Needed)

Lake Springs Preschool is looking for caring and dependable substitute teachers to support our classrooms for children ages 1-4 years old . This position is as-needed , with no set schedule, and is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with young children and have a flexible daytime availability. Substitute teachers are added to our call list and contacted when regular teachers are absent or additional classroom support is needed. Responsibilities Provide a safe, caring, and engaging environment for young children Assist with classroom activities, play, and routines Follow the direction of the lead teacher and preschool staff Help maintain a positive and nurturing classroom atmosphere Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the classroom Qualifications Experience working with young children preferred (preschool, childcare, or similar settings) Dependable, patient, and nurturing personality Ability to interact positively with children, staff, and parents Must be able to pass required background checks Schedule As-needed substitute position (no guaranteed hours) Most shifts occur weekday mornings during the preschool program Additional Opportunities Substitute teachers may also have the opportunity to be contacted for additional paid childcare opportunities through Lake Springs Church when they arise.
