Childcare Teacher Gracie's Childcare and Learning Center Hope Mills, NC Job Details Part-time | Full-time $15.00 - $17.50 an hour 16 hours ago Benefits Tuition reimbursement Professional development assistance Qualifications CPR Certification High school diploma or GED First Aid Certification Performing background checks Full Job Description Our childcare service organization is looking to fill a full-time and part-time Lead Teacher position to implement curriculum; interact and nurture children in your care, supervising their activities to ensure a safe environment. This position is 30-40 hours a week Monday -
Friday Key Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to all center and state policies, licensing regulations, and health/safety procedures
  • Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development as scheduled
  • Communicate appropriately and effectively with children, families, staff, and center administration about the child's development and classroom updates
  • Immediately report and document any issues involving children, parents, or staff to the Center Director/Administrator
  • Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment (i.e., bathroom, activity areas, kitchen, playground, etc.) and assist with facility housekeeping
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Center Director
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate daily lesson plans and activities that support developmental areas (cognitive, social, emotional, and physical)
  • Supervise and actively engage with children at all times throughout the day
  • Support toddlers in developing daily routines and independence with skills like eating, toileting, napping, etc.
  • Work collaboratively with fellow teachers and administration to ensure quality care and instruction
Requirements:
  • Ability to pass an NC Childcare Criminal Background Check
  • Completion, enrollment, or willingness to obtain a certificate in NCECC (EDU 119), or equivalent training (equivalent may be found at this link: https://ncchildcare.ncdhhs.gov/Whats-New/north-carolina-early-childhood-equivalency-exam-now-available )
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED
  • Must possess or be willing to obtain upon hire a full
COVID-19
vaccination, tuberculosis (TB) test, and medical assessment per North Carolina childcare regulations
  • Must possess or be willing to obtain current CPR and First Aid Certification within 90 days of hire

  • Ability to meet the physical demands of working with young children
  • Dependable, flexible, and nurturing personality
  • Knowledge of child development and positive behavior guidance techniques
