Job Summary At Center of Attention Preschool, we believe childhood should be filled with wonder, connection, exploration, and meaningful learning. We are seeking a passionate, qualified Lead Preschool Teacher who believes that children learn best when they are met where they are, encouraged to explore their natural curiosity, and supported in a loving environment where they feel safe, valued, and capable. Through enhanced teacher-to-child ratios, individualized attention, nature-inspired experiences, and intentional teaching, we help children build confidence, independence, social-emotional skills, and a lifelong love of learning. Our classrooms are designed to foster curiosity, creativity, and kindergarten readiness while honoring the unique developmental journey of every child. What You'll Do Create a warm, welcoming classroom where every child feels seen, valued, and supported. Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences. Foster early literacy, math, critical thinking, and school readiness skills through hands-on learning and purposeful play. Support children's social-emotional growth, independence, and problem-solving abilities. Build strong partnerships with families through open communication and collaboration. Observe, assess, and respond to each child's individual developmental needs. Work collaboratively with fellow educators to maintain a positive, professional, and supportive school culture. Qualifications Must meet all North Carolina DCDEE requirements for a Lead Teacher. Have a strong understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Ability to create engaging learning experiences that support the whole child. Commitment to inclusion, respect, and individualized learning.
