Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Afternoon person to join our vibrant childcare team! In this vital role, you will provide attentive care and support to children during the afternoon hours, fostering a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help children thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on young lives while working in a dynamic, collaborative setting. Responsibilities Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times through vigilant supervision and adherence to safety protocols Assist with classroom management by organizing activities, maintaining routines, and encouraging positive behavior Support children's emotional needs through nurturing interactions, active listening, and encouragement Collaborate with team members to plan educational activities aligned with childhood development principles Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment conducive to learning and play Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and daily experiences Qualifications Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, or babysitting is highly preferred Knowledge of early childhood education practices and childhood development milestones Certification or training in first aid and CPR is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to obtain certification required for some roles Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is advantageous Strong classroom management skills with the ability to handle diverse behaviors effectively Passion for working with children and creating a positive, supportive environment Ability to follow safety guidelines diligently and demonstrate excellent caregiving skills Join us in shaping bright futures!
