Job Description

Job Summary Join us as a Summer Camp Instructor and ignite the spirit of learning, creativity, and fun in children and youth! In this vibrant role, you will lead engaging activities, foster a safe and inclusive environment, and inspire young minds through dynamic teaching, sports, arts, and recreational programs. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help create memorable summer experiences that promote growth, teamwork, and confidence. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact while developing valuable skills in education, childcare, and leadership. Duties Plan and facilitate a variety of camp activities including sports, arts and crafts, theater, and educational games that cater to diverse age groups. Maintain a safe environment by supervising children closely and implementing proper behavior management techniques. Take proper attendance daily Provide first aid when necessary and respond promptly to any emergencies or health concerns. Support children with special needs or those requiring additional assistance through tailored approaches aligned with best practices in childhood development. Foster teamwork, respect, and positive social interactions among campers through effective classroom management and group activities. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding camper progress or concerns. Collaborate with fellow staff members to ensure smooth daily operations and uphold camp policies. Skills Strong classroom management skills to guide children's behavior positively and effectively. Knowledge of first aid procedures to handle minor injuries or health issues confidently. Experience working with children in settings such as daycare, tutoring, or early childhood education environments. Ability to adapt activities for children with special needs or behavioral challenges using inclusive strategies. Excellent teaching skills combined with patience and enthusiasm for engaging young learners. Background in sports coaching, theater arts, or childcare enhances your ability to lead diverse activities. Effective communication skills for working with children, parents, and team members to ensure a supportive camp atmosphere. Pay:
$10.00 - $13.00 per hour

This is a very important question because summer camp runs from May to August and some days are hotter than others. Although it will be fun, the heat can also be challenging! I need someone prepared to take on the heat and have some fun with the kids!
