Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Preschool Lead Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering a positive learning environment for young children, supporting their developmental milestones, and implementing engaging curriculum plans. This role offers an opportunity to influence early childhood education through innovative teaching methods, classroom management, and personalized child welfare practices. The Preschool Lead Teacher will play a vital role in nurturing children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth in a supportive and structured setting. We are a nature-based play and learning preschool so the person in this position must love taking children outdoors. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods. Plan and execute engaging lesson plans that promote active learning and curiosity among preschool children. Manage classroom activities to ensure a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment conducive to learning and development. Utilize behavior management techniques to foster positive behavior and social skills among students. Support children with special needs through individualized instruction and early intervention strategies. Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools to monitor developmental progress and inform instructional planning. Collaborate with parents, guardians, and colleagues to support each child's educational journey and welfare. Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and behavioral notes in compliance with licensing standards. Incorporate teaching physical education and tutoring sessions as part of the comprehensive curriculum. Stay current with best practices in childhood development, classroom management, and childcare regulations. Qualifications Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings; prior classroom management experience is preferred. Strong knowledge of childhood development theories, behavior management strategies, and early intervention techniques. Experience with curriculum development across multiple domains including literacy education, math, physical education, and special education needs such as Montessori or private school experience preferred. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with parents, staff, and community partners. Ability to plan lessons effectively while adapting to individual student needs for inclusive education. Childcare certification or early childhood education credentials are preferred.
Pay:
