Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Pre-K Lead Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for preschool-aged children. Your leadership will inspire young learners to explore, discover, and develop essential skills through innovative curriculum development and hands-on activities. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for early childhood education, strong classroom management skills, and a commitment to fostering a positive learning atmosphere that promotes growth, curiosity, and social-emotional development. Responsibilities Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with preschool standards and curriculum frameworks such as Montessori or other early childhood education models. Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning through play. Manage daily classroom activities, ensuring smooth transitions and effective behavior management strategies to support positive social interactions. Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists in areas such as special education and early intervention to support each child's unique needs. Incorporate literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and other core subjects into engaging lessons that promote holistic development. Monitor and assess children's progress using standardized testing methods and observational techniques; document developmental milestones regularly. Support children's welfare by maintaining high standards of childcare, ensuring their physical safety, emotional well-being, and overall health are prioritized at all times. Experience Previous classroom experience working with preschool or toddler-aged children in licensed daycare or private school settings. Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development across multiple domains including literacy, math, physical education, and social skills. Knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and special education strategies such as early intervention approaches. Experience with classroom management tools and lesson planning tailored for early learners in diverse settings. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners. Familiarity with standardized testing procedures relevant to early childhood assessment is preferred. Prior experience working within Montessori or similar educational philosophies is a plus. Pay:
$16.00 - $20.00 per hour
