• Monitor children while in the classroom and outside
• Communicate with parents/families about their child's day
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Implement educational activities and materials
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance the learning experience
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance
• Attend meetings, workshops, and professional development sessions to stay updated on teaching methods and strategies
• Perform closing duties, such as cleaning, sanitizing, taking out the trash, etc. ```Skills```
• Experience working with preschool or early childhood education is preferred
• Ability to effectively communicate with students, parents, and colleagues
• Classroom management skills to maintain a productive learning environment
• Passion for educating and inspiring students of all ages
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students

Summary As an Afternoon Childcare Provider/Closer, you will be instrumental in creating a safe and nurturing environment for children aged 6 weeks-5 years of age during the afternoon hours. Reporting to the Childcare Director, your role involves engaging children in educational activities, managing classroom behavior, and fostering early childhood development. Your core skills in childcare and experience with children will be complemented by your premium skills in teaching and infant care. By utilizing your relevant skills in daycare and preschool experience, you will help ensure a positive and enriching experience for every child in your care.
