Pre-K Teacher Little Scholars Learning Center Inspire. Teach. Prepare Children for Kindergarten Success. Little Scholars Learning Center is seeking a passionate, creative, and dedicated Pre-K Teacher to join our team. We are looking for an educator who loves working with young children and understands the importance of creating meaningful learning experiences that prepare children academically, socially, emotionally, and physically for Kindergarten. Our Pre-K Teachers utilize the Learning Beyond Paper curriculum to create engaging monthly lesson plans while fostering a structured, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment where every child can thrive. This role includes developing monthly lesson plans through the Learning Beyond Paper (LBP) curriculum portal, conducting child assessments, maintaining classroom organization, and ensuring children are prepared for a successful transition into Kindergarten. Essential Responsibilities Curriculum & Instruction Implement the Learning Beyond Paper curriculum with fidelity and enthusiasm. Create and submit monthly lesson plans using resources provided through the Learning Beyond Paper portal. Develop engaging, hands-on learning experiences that support all areas of child development. Prepare children for Kindergarten readiness through activities focused on literacy, math, science, social studies, language development, and social-emotional learning. Differentiate instruction to meet the individual needs of each child. Create an environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, creativity, and independent thinking. Child Assessment & Documentation Conduct ongoing observations and developmental assessments. Maintain accurate records of children's growth, progress, and developmental milestones. Complete required assessment documentation and portfolios. Utilize assessment data to guide lesson planning and individual learning goals. Classroom Management Maintain a structured, organized, and nurturing classroom environment. Establish consistent daily routines and schedules. Promote positive behavior through developmentally appropriate guidance techniques. Ensure classroom materials, learning centers, and educational resources are organized, clean, and engaging. Supervise children at all times to ensure their safety and well-being. Family Communication Build positive relationships with families and caregivers. Communicate regularly regarding children's progress, achievements, and classroom activities. Participate in parent conferences and family engagement events. Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all communications. Health, Safety & Compliance Follow all state licensing regulations and center policies. Maintain a safe, healthy, and clean classroom environment. Complete required attendance records, incident reports, and other documentation accurately and timely. Ensure proper supervision of children during indoor activities, outdoor play, meals, and transitions. Team Collaboration Work collaboratively with administration and fellow teachers. Attend staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities. Assist with center events, family programs, and special activities. Support the mission, vision, and values of Little Scholars Learning Center. Qualifications Required High School Diploma or GED. Experience working with preschool or Pre-K age children. Strong communication and classroom management skills. Ability to create a positive, engaging learning environment. Ability to pass all required background checks and meet state licensing requirements. Preferred Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential, Associate's Degree, or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field. Experience with curriculum planning and child assessments. Knowledge of Kindergarten readiness standards and developmentally appropriate practices. Experience using Learning Beyond Paper curriculum or similar early childhood curriculum programs. Skills & Attributes We are looking for someone who is: Passionate about early childhood education.
