Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant Childcare Provider to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will support the lead caregivers in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help foster positive developmental experiences, ensuring each child's individual needs are met with care and professionalism. Responsibilities Assist lead childcare providers in supervising and engaging children during daily activities, playtime, meals, and rest periods Support children's emotional well-being by providing comfort, encouragement, and positive reinforcement Help implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote childhood development and learning Maintain a safe environment by adhering to safety protocols, conducting regular room checks, and ensuring proper hygiene practices Support classroom management by helping organize materials, assist with transitions, and encourage positive behavior Assist with diapering, feeding, and basic infant care as needed for younger children Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to ensure a cohesive caregiving experience Qualifications Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying or similar settings is preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable; willingness to obtain certification if not already held Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is a plus Strong classroom management skills and the ability to handle behavior management challenges positively Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and families Ability to work flexibly in a dynamic environment while maintaining patience and professionalism Join us in creating joyful learning experiences for children! Pay:
$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
