Job Description

Magic City Day Care Center is looking for a Child Care Supervisor to join our management team. Do you want to join an amazing team and lead them to success every day? Here is what we need/are looking for in an awesome candidate. Must have at least one year of experience working in childcare setting or similar Must have previous successful working experience in a management position ( DOES NOT have to be in childcare field). Must have a Highschool Diploma or similar. Must have open availability
  • can work 6:30am-5:45pm M-F Must be able to pass a criminal background/child abuse/neglect Federal check.
No felonies, some other misdemeanor charges are also disqualifying. As a childcare supervisor you would be doing a mix of working inside of a classroom or help control the fun chaos of the day. You would be the person the staff and children lean to make sure they are safe and loved throughout their day. These things can include, covering classrooms when needed, caring for children in any aspect of care, cleaning and organizing, being responsible for paperwork, checking and correcting for safety issues, handling communication and relationships with parents/families, overseeing/managing staff, and similar.

At this time there is
NO SCHOOLING/DEGREE NEEDED
but being willing to work towards earning a C.D.A . in the near future is recommended. C.D.A. = Child Development Associate Credential
  • On the job guidance and mentorship to help achieve this with employment commitment.
Hours of the job would be up to 40 hours as early as 6:30am and as late as 5:45pm, Monday to Friday. Must be in good physical and mental health. Must be able to climb steps, carry 50lbs or more (think carrying a child who might be having a meltdown), bend and stand frequently (playing on the floor with children and cleaning tasks). Candidate must be in good mental health
  • handle stressful situations, be able to act in emergencies, deal with challenging behaviors, etc. Positive job references for recent previous employment positions. Near perfect job attendance. Punctual Reliable Reliable transportation Excellent communication skills We have two locations
  • 1420 20th Ave SW and 502 17th St NW
  • at this time this position would be a
FLOATING
