  • the Head Start center in Saline County is seeking an energetic, nurturing, and dedicated Lead Preschool Teacher to create a positive learning environment where children can grow, explore, and develop the skills they need for future success.
As a Lead Teacher, you will play a key role in shaping young lives while working alongside supportive families, staff, and community partners. What You'll Do Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate curriculum and classroom activities that support children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning through play. Support school readiness goals and individual child development. Manage daily classroom operations and collaborate with teaching team members. Observe, assess, and track children's progress using assessment tools and data. Build positive relationships with children, families, coworkers, and community partners. Encourage and support meaningful family engagement. Qualifications Required Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or another credential that meets Head Start Program Performance Standards and Head Start Act requirements. Preferred At least one year of experience in a preschool, childcare, or early childhood education setting. Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field. Why Join Head Start?
