Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in your care
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and educational programs
- Supervise and engage children in play, both indoors and outdoors
- Assist with personal hygiene tasks such as diapering, toileting, and handwashing
- Monitor children's behavior and implement behavior management techniques when necessary
- Communicate with parents/guardians regarding their child's daily activities, progress, and any concerns that may arise
- Maintain a clean and organized childcare classroom
Skills:
- Reliability is a must
- Previous experience in babysitting, childcare, or preschool settings
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Ability to provide age-appropriate care and engage children in educational activities
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents/guardians, and colleagues
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to handle challenging behaviors with positive discipline techniques
- Knowledge of infant care practices, including feeding, diapering, and soothing techniques
- Experience in nannying or providing care for infants is preferred
- Annual continuous educational hours, paid at a higher hourly rate
