Job Description

Company Overview PB&J's Childcare & Learning Center is a vibrant, nature-based preschool dedicated to fostering early childhood development through emergent curriculum and outdoor exploration. Located just two miles from the heart of Bristol in a brand new facility, we prioritize creating a nurturing environment where children can thrive physically, socially, and cognitively. Overview We are seeking an energetic and passionate Early Childhood Infant-Preschool Teacher to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will inspire young learners through engaging lesson plans, hands-on activities, and compassionate classroom management. Your dedication will help cultivate a love for learning while supporting the developmental needs of infants through preschool-aged children in a lively outdoor setting. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that promote early childhood development, literacy, math skills, and social-emotional growth. Plan and execute engaging lessons that incorporate Montessori methods and emergent learning principles. Foster a safe, inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and positive behavior management. Support children's physical development through teaching physical education activities and promoting active outdoor play in our large outdoor play area. Collaborate with families to discuss progress, address individual needs—including special education or early intervention—and ensure child welfare. Maintain accurate documentation of each child's progress using standardized testing methods and ongoing assessments. Manage classroom routines efficiently while ensuring compliance with childcare standards and best practices in childhood education. Skills Strong knowledge of childhood development theories and practices specific to infants through preschoolers. Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management strategies tailored for early learners. Familiarity with special education needs, early intervention techniques, and behavior management strategies. Proficiency in literacy education, math instruction, and teaching physical education activities suitable for young children. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members. Prior classroom experience in daycare or private preschool settings; Montessori or emergent curriculum experience is a plus. Ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles while fostering a nurturing environment focused on child welfare. Join us at PB&J's Childcare & Learning Center where your enthusiasm for early childhood education can make a meaningful difference! We are committed to providing paid positions that support professional growth while enriching the lives of our youngest learners through innovative teaching and outdoor exploration.
