Full Job Description Job Description:
Hollis Preschool is seeking a positive, enthusiastic and flexible preschool Lead Teacher to add to our wonderful staff. We are looking for someone who will support the preschool's "child-centered", "play-based learning" philosophy and help create an environment that supports and enhances children's play inside and outside the classroom while honoring each child's individual skills, abilities and character. This part-time position is for applicants who are flexible, a team player, able to work different shifts based on the needs of the school, show a willingness to work with all ages (2-5) and love working with children. We are currently looking for a lead teacher for our 2 year old program.
Responsibilities:
Teach and manage programs with children between the ages of 2 and 5. Keep a detailed lesson plan book. Provide developmentally appropriate activities and react to the individual needs of the students. Create and maintain positive relationships with all students and parents. Regularly communicate with parents verbally and in writing as needed. Communicate any classroom needs or areas of concern to the Director in a timely manner. Cleaning of the classroom/facility after all class sessions. Post parent information to Brightwheel. Adhere to all Hollis Preschool policies.
Qualifications and Skills:
Must be at least 18 years of age A minimum of 1,000 hours experience working with children in a licensed childcare program A minimum of 18 credits in early childhood education from a regionally accredited college or university, including at least 3 credits child growth and development
Salary:
$18.00 to $22.00 per hour (based on experience and education) Paid on a Bi-Weekly basis
Hours:
Tues/Thurs 8a-1130a. Training opportunities and prep time hours included.
