As a Lead Toddler Teacher, you will create a vibrant, safe, and engaging classroom environment that promotes developmental growth, curiosity, and social-emotional well-being. Your leadership will ensure that each child's unique needs are met through innovative lesson planning, effective behavior management, and collaborative teamwork. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the foundational years of childhood development while fostering a love of learning in a supportive setting. Responsibilities Design and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum tailored to toddlers' needs, incorporating literacy education, early intervention strategies, and Montessori principles where applicable. Lead daily classroom activities that promote social skills, motor development, language acquisition, and emotional regulation. Manage classroom routines, behavior management strategies, and transitions to create a positive and structured learning environment. Collaborate with families to communicate progress, address concerns, and support each child's individual growth plans. Supervise and mentor assistant teachers or classroom aides to ensure high-quality childcare and educational standards are maintained. Conduct ongoing assessments of children's progress using standardized testing methods and observational techniques to inform instruction. Maintain accurate documentation of developmental milestones, lesson plans, attendance records, and incident reports in compliance with licensing regulations. Requirements Proven classroom management skills with experience working with children in early childhood settings, particularly with toddlers. Strong knowledge of childhood development theories, behavior management techniques, and early intervention practices. Experience developing curriculum that integrates literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and sensory activities suitable for toddlers. Familiarity with Montessori methods or other child-centered educational philosophies is preferred. Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, staff, and community partners effectively. Certification in early childhood education or preschool teaching credentials required; additional training in special education or child welfare is a plus. Prior experience working in daycare centers or private preschool environments is highly desirable.
