Located along the Merrimack River in the beautiful community of Litchfield, NH, St. Francis is a thriving PK-3 through Grade 6 school where children learn and explore on a 15-acre campus featuring hiking trails, an outdoor learning center, and a small farm. Our Catholic approach emphasizes hands-on learning, outdoor experiences, and a strong sense of community. Duties Develop and execute comprehensive lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including Montessori and other pedagogical approaches. Create a stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and independence among preschool-aged children. Implement curriculum development strategies that support literacy education, math skills, physical education, and social-emotional learning. Manage classroom activities effectively while maintaining positive behavior management techniques to foster respectful interactions. Collaborate with families to communicate children's progress, address individual needs—including special education and early intervention—and promote child welfare. Requirements Proven experience working with children in preschool settings, including classroom management and lesson planning. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and early intervention strategies. Experience with classroom experience in daycare or private school environments is preferred.
