The ECESE Preschool Teacher provides high-quality, developmentally appropriate instruction and specialized services to preschool-aged children with and without disabilities in an inclusive setting. This educator will design and implement instructional strategies aligned with New Hampshire Early Learning Standards, integrate Pyramid Model practices to support social-emotional development, and use the Desired Results Developmental Profile (DRDP) to inform instructional planning and monitor child progress.
Education, Training, Skills, Experience, & Licensure Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Special Education, or a related field. New Hampshire Department of Education Certification in Early Childhood Education (1900) and/or Early Childhood Special Education (1800). Knowledge and experience with the DRDP assessment system. (preferred) Training and implementation experience with the Pyramid Model or equivalent social-emotional framework. (preferred) Experience developing and implementing IEPs for young children. Experience working in public preschool or inclusive early childhood settings. Familiarity with NH Early Learning Standards and DOE preschool guidance. Bilingual or multilingual skills (preferred) Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills. Key Responsibilities Plan and implement engaging lessons that address individual learning needs, developmental domains, and IEP goals. Use DRDP data to inform instruction, track student development, and communicate progress to families and service providers. Incorporate Pyramid Model strategies and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) to build a nurturing, predictable, and supportive classroom environment. Collaborate with related service providers, paraprofessionals, and families to support students' access to the curriculum. Conduct developmental screenings, assessments, and evaluations in accordance with IDEA and state regulations. Facilitate IEP meetings and ensure timely documentation and implementation of services. Foster a culturally responsive, inclusive classroom community that supports diverse learners. Provide embedded instruction during play and daily routines to promote language, motor, cognitive, and self-help skills. Maintain accurate records, lesson plans, progress reports, and required compliance documentation. Participate in professional development focused on early childhood education, inclusive practices, DRDP, and the Pyramid Model. Perform all other duties as assigned by the
