Job Description

Job Overview Covered Bridge Montessori is looking for a Preschool Lead Teacher /Site Director for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a school year program that closely follows the school year calendar along with summers off to go to the lake & mountains! All holiday, school vacations weeks and snow days are paid! Must be 21 years old and have either a CDA, Associate's, Bachelor's or Master's in education or a related field. Hours will be M-F 8:15am-3:15pm or it could be part time from 8am-1pm. Small school with only 12 children and wonderful parents / working community. People who have a Waldorf, Montessori or Reggio background are encouraged to apply. Rate of pay $19 - 22 per hour. Start Date August 31, 2026 Responsibilities Lead daily classroom activities, fostering a positive, inclusive atmosphere that promotes curiosity for 12 children. Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, and social-emotional learning Manage classroom routines, behavior management strategies Oversee administrative tasks such as parent communication, compliance with licensing requirements, and maintaining accurate records of student progress Collaborate with families to support each child's development and address individual needs through regular updates and meetings Ensure the safety and well-being of all children by adhering to childcare regulations, conducting safety inspections, and maintaining a clean, organized learning environment Skills Sg knowledge of curriculum development across multiple domains including literacy education, and Montessori methods Proven ability to manage classrooms effectively while nurturing each child's growth. Excellent communication skills for engaging with parents, staff, and community partners Skilled in behavior management techniques that promote positive social interaction Ability to lead lesson planning sessions Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in childcare and daycare environments Demonstrated leadership in managing classroom experience while fostering a collaborative team atmosphere
Pay:
$19.00 - $22.00 per hour
