Job Description

Full Job Description Our Childcare Center is seeking applicants for a full-time (40 hours per week) Assistant Director position. As the Assistant Director, you will assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our center while demonstrating exceptional professional conduct and ensuring the a safe, happy and stimulating learning environment for children. In order to qualify for the position, you must meet Office of Licensing NJ requirements.
Applicants should possess:
Experience working with children Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong interpersonal skills Strong organizational skills Ability to multitask Bachelors degree Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following: Assisting in the overseeing of the day to day operations and providing exceptional care for children ages 6 weeks to 13 years Ensuring adherence to all requirements of N.J.A.C. Manual of Requirements for Child Care Centers Creating positive relationships with all staff members through daily interactions Assisting in the scheduling, supervising, observing, evaluating, and training of staff Assisting in recruiting, interviewing, hiring applicants and in training new staff members Assist in planning weekly academic calendars, themes and topics to create monthly calendars Assist in approving weekly lesson plans Ensuring the implementation of a developmentally appropriate curriculum Assist staff in arranging continuing education opportunities Assist in keeping supply inventory and ordering supplies Assist in conducting tours of the center Creating positive relationships with all parents through daily interactions Assist in sending notifications to parents and maintaining regular correspondence Addressing and documenting any concerns or incidents regarding children, parents, and/or staff Assisting in classrooms as needed Closing the center at the end of the day
Pay:
$51,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
