Teachers Assistant/Aide Positive Overview:
The Teacher Assistant/Aide is responsible to assist teachers with curriculum planning, supervision, and teaching of children in a classroom setting; assists in presenting and reinforcing learning concepts. Requirements (Experience and Skills): High School diploma or GED. An Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education preferred Minimum of 2 years of experience Ability to understand and follow safety procedures Ability to provide activities for children that encourage healthy growth Ability to provide a supportive and caring environment for children Child supervision skills Excellent communication skills (verbal and written, with an emphasis on grammatical skills) Excellent organizational skills with ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures Excellent judgment and decision-making skills required Ability to handle confidential information Ability to work on multiple tasks and deadlines Professional demeanor and behavior Certified in CPR and First Aid preferred or must be willing to become certifiedJob Duties:
Provides support to the teacher to ensure a safe and stimulating educational environment Assists the teacher in planning and preparation for daily activities; aids instructional efforts of the teacher Assists the teacher in implementing daily lessons/activities Presents subject matter to children under the guidance of a teacher, utilizing a variety of methods including stories, discussions and role-playing May lead classroom activities Assists children individually or in groups, with lesson assignments to present or reinforce learning concepts Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned Assist teacher in teaching & modeling Christian principles and values through daily Bible stories and daily interactions with the childrenCharacter Traits:

Attend conferences and workshops on appropriate topics and issues totaling 10 hours between September and June. All 10 hours must be completed by the last day of school in June Keep abreast of research and new developments in the field of early childhood and childcareAccountability:
The Teacher Assistant/Aide is responsible for completing the goals and objectives assigned to him/her by the respective learning center teacher. This position is a part of the Education Team lead by the Center's Director. As a member of the team, this position is responsible not only to his/her respective teacher, but also to the Director, Assistant Director and the TLC Board, as together they are responsible for accomplishing the objectives and goals of Trinity Learning Center.Minimum Job Requirements :
High School Diploma or GED with at least 6 hours training in childcare and 3 hours in child program management.NOTE:
